New Senior Manager joins Nordic Sustainability
We are thrilled to introduce you to Anniina, who recently joined Nordic Sustainability as Senior Manager. Anniina comes to the company with 15 years of professional experience and is well-versed in topics such as strategy and policy development, sustainability, and change management. Her versatile background in sustainability both within the private and public sector makes her a strong addition to the team.
As an experienced leader and multifaceted sustainability strategist, Anniina is inspired by generating systemic change in organizations. She is driven by creating positive change and unleashing the potential in people and businesses.
Most recently, she worked as the Global Sustainability Strategy Manager for Hempel A/S, a multi-national coatings manufacturer, where she headed the preparation and implementation of a new sustainability framework for the company. In this strategic role, she led a team of several project managers covering areas such as carbon neutrality and science-based targets, circular economy, sustainable product development, data and reporting, and sustainability communication. Anniina looks forward to translating this experience into valuable advice to Nordic Sustainability’s private sector clients who are looking to kickstart or further build on their sustainability ambitions.
In addition to bringing valuable corporate experience to the company, Anniina will also be able to strengthen the team’s capacity to advise clients on upcoming legislative developments, especially within the EU. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and International Law from Åbo Akademi University in Finland. Her previous experience includes working in the Finnish Parliament, the European Commission, and the Nordic Council of Ministers. In the latter, she worked six years as a Senior Advisor for Sustainable Development, advising different policy areas on the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals.
As a Swedish-speaking Finn living in Denmark with an extended family in Iceland, she considers all the Nordics her home. During her studies and her professional career, she also spent time in Brussels, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. In her spare time, Anniina enjoys art, reading, and collecting rocks along the Danish coastline with her two small children.
We’re very excited to have Anniina join the team!
