Associate Consultant in our SME team
We are looking for an Associate Consultant for the spring internships of 2025. Based in our Copenhagen office, the internship will allow you to be a part of our SME team and experience various consulting assignments with our Nordic and international clients. You’ll also get to contribute to developing our internal processes further.
As an Associate Consultant , you will be a full-time member of our team and receive day-to-day coaching in a culture that is focused on direct and clear feedback. We have an environment that’s strongly based on trust and we do our best to get our work done within a four-day workweek, with the ambition of having a lot of fun along the way.
Your responsibilities
We expect you to be able to run processes within projects with the oversight of a project manager.
We expect you to contribute to report writing, stakeholder management, outreach, and event planning.
We expect you to take on both internal tasks that enable us to streamline and improve our internal processes as well as work on client projects.
We expect you to be interested in growing client contacts.

Written Danish and English at a native or comparable level.
Previous consulting experience or other relevant experience from the corporate sector, preferably within sustainability-related areas in an asset but not a prerequisite
Your background
Youmustbe studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the European Union.
We do not take candidates who have already graduated or will be graduating during the internship program into consideration.
You will need to do the full internship full-time. The internship is planned to start in early February and will last for approximately five months.
You live in Copenhagen or are willing to relocate for the duration of the internship. Unfortunately, we cannot assist in relocation.
You must be able to acquire a Danish CPR and a Danish bank account

Create, Build and Develop our Biodiversity Program Offerings as our new Biodiversity Manager!

What will you be doing?
In this role, you will refine and deliver on Nordic Sustainability’s existing approach to biodiversity projects and develop a portfolio of new impactful high-quality nature and biodiversity services relevant to both larger SMEs and multinational companies.
Specialist Project work
Refine existing biodiversity offerings
Develop a portfolio of new nature/biodiversity services
Manage nature/biodiversity projects with assistance from consultants
Manage the delivery of other service offerings and assess where more nature and biodiversity focus should be implemented to increase the impact of the projects
Provide ad hoc learning support to existing staff who will act as execution support on nature and biodiversity projects
Sales Marketing
Pitch nature and biodiversity services to relevant existing/previous clients
Maintain relationships with clients after nature/biodiversity projects have finished
Develop content for marketing material and sales presentations on nature/biodiversity with the support of Nordic Sustainability’s Marketing and Communications team
Identify key opportunities to participate and speak at events to create more focus on the nature and biodiversity agenda in Denmark and how to work with it to generate maximum positive impact
Learning & Development
Keep up to date with relevant developments in key nature frameworks/programs (e.g. ESRS E4, SBTN, TNFD, ISO etc.)
Build a network of relevant nature and biodiversity contacts to grow your knowledge and create new leads
Requirements
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
Have minimum 5 years of experience (ideally in a consultancy, company or an NGO) with a specific nature/biodiversity-related focus that has given you a broad understanding of how to work with nature/biodiversity in the private sector
Have good stakeholder and communication skills and a deep understanding of what motivates diverse groups
Have excellent skills within the consultancy toolbox, e.g., data analysis (excel), presentations (PowerPoint), proposal writing, etc.
Have project management experience and an ability to manage projects in teams
Have effective communication skills and can converse well with new and potential clients, to listen and understand their needs
Have a passion for sustainability and a desire to learn more
Speak English at a native or comparable level. A good level of Danish is beneficial

Towards clients
Collaborate with leading companies to design and implement comprehensive sustainability reporting approaches aligned with the ESRS requirements.
Lead or contribute to double materiality assessments to support clients in aligning their operations with European and global reporting frameworks.
Take ownership of key client relationships and projects and build trust through your expertise and high-quality deliverables.
Identify ways to grow the business, manage proposal writing, and develop new offerings connected to Nordic Sustainability’s other knowledge areas.
Internally

Your background
A solid background in sustainability reporting is necessary for this role. This includes (but is not limited to) an advanced technical understanding of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the ESRS. Knowledge about the GRI, ISSB standards and the EU Taxonomy is beneficial.
A background in consulting with experience in delivering advisory services to diverse clients in complex environments is essential
