Head of Strategy

We are looking for an experienced leader to take on the role as the lead of our Strategy team, to help deliver exciting and impactful projects to leading multinationals and smaller businesses, lead the development of Nordic Sustainability’s strategy services and methods and guide a team of passionate sustainability and strategy experts. We look for someone who combines top-tier consulting knowledge with a strong commercial view, high ambitions on sustainability, and a strong drive to challenge established practices and norms.

The Strategy team is one of our delivery pillars, and as lead, this individual is part of our extended management team. 

Your responsibilities

Project work

  • Lead and deliver strategy projects for large private-sector clients in the project owner role.
  • Supervise and guide project teams of 2-8 members.
  • Ensure quality, commercial value, and impact creation throughout project execution.
  • Manage projects with execution support from consultants
  • Provide ad hoc learning support to existing staff that will act as execution support on strategy projects.

Service development

  • Lead refinement of sustainability strategy services to better meet client needs and market opportunities, with a commercial angle and an impact focus.
  • Further develop internal expertise in sustainability strategy development.
  • Stay ahead of developments in the field

Business development

  • Lead development of client portfolio, identify new leads, pitch to new clients, and build relationships with key personnel at existing clients and in the field.
  • Identify key opportunities to participate and speak at events to create focus on sustainability strategy and commercial integration, focused on our mission of impact.

Your competencies

  • Have 7+ years of experience in management consulting or similar, ideally with a blend of (corporate) strategy and sustainability
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of motivating project teams and creating a positive work environment
  • You have extensive project management experience and are comfortable driving complex projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • You have effective verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client engagement.
  • Strong ability to align connect client needs with Nordic Sustainability’s vision: “A society where companies succeed, and people thrive within planetary boundaries.”
  • You have demonstrated success in identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • You have managed teams and can guide and motivate team members.
  • You speak and write English at a native or comparable level. Danish knowledge is an advantage.

Associate Consultant (Fall internship)

We are looking for interns (Associate Consultant) for the fall of 2025. Based in our Copenhagen office, the internship will allow you to be a part of our team and experience various consulting assignments with our Nordic and international clients. You’ll also get to help with developing our internal processes further.

 As an intern, you will serve as a full-time member of our team and receive day-to-day coaching in a culture that is focused on direct and clear feedback. We have an environment that’s strongly based on trust and we do our best to get our work done within a four-day work week, with the ambition of having a lot of fun along the way. 

Your mindset

  • You seek to deliver the highest quality possible and continuously push the envelope on what you can deliver

Your competencies

  • Strong knowledge of sustainability topics which could include circular economy, sustainable business models, bio-economy, GHG accounting, impact investing etc.
  • Able to conduct research and analytical tasks
  • Skilled in working with PowerPoint and developing presentations
  • Ability to communicate well in writing
  • Written English at a native or comparable level. Fluency in Danish is an asset, but not a requirement
  • Good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
  • Previous consulting experience or other relevant experience from the corporate sector, preferably within sustainability-related areas in an asset but not a prerequisite

Your responsibilities

  • We expect you to be able to run independent processes within projects with oversight of a project manager
  • We expect you to contribute to report writing, stakeholder management, outreach, and event planning 
  • We expect you to take on both internal tasks that help us streamline and improve our internal processes as well as work on client projects
  • We expect you to be interested in growing client contacts

Requirements

  • You must be studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the European Union.
  • We do not accept candidates who have already graduated or will be graduating during the internship programme into consideration
  • The internship is planned to start in early September and will last for approximately five months
  • You live in Copenhagen or are willing to relocate for the duration of the internship. We unfortunately are not able to offer any relocation support.
  • You must be able to acquire a Danish CPR and a Danish bank account

The internship is paid. The monthly salary is approximately €1,100.

Climate
The climate team assists our clients with climate related assessments, strategy, circularity and developing the skills needed to drive implementation effectively. Teams’ working language is English/Danish

Reporting & Policy
The team assists our clients in achieving CSRD/ESRS compliance via impactful double materiality and data gap assessments, helping clients understand their impacts, risks and opportunities across multiple sustainability topics. Teams’ working language is English/Danish.

Finance
The finance team assists our clients with setting and implementing sustainability/ESG strategies across the organisations and their financial products. Teams’ working language is English. 

Strategy
The strategy team assists our clients develop a clear vision, set KPI targets and translate these into a roadmap of initiatives to achieve them. Teams’ working language is English/Danish.

We cannot guarantee you will be placed in the team you have wished for, but it will help give us a better indication when matching your profile.

Communications Associate (Fall internship)

We are looking for a Communications Associate dedicated to support our internal and external communications efforts in the fall internship of 2025.

  • Previous experience from a communications or marketing role, preferably within sustainability-related areas, is an asset.
  • Creative mindset and an ability to communicate compellingly in written and visual form.
  • Experience in content creation and social media.
  • Skilled in working with PowerPoint and developing presentations.
  • Experience in graphic design and tools such as Adobe programmes (i.e. Photoshop and Illustrator) is a big plus.
  • Skilled in turning complex reports & messages into engaging content.
  • Written English at a native or comparable level.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.

Your responsibilities

  • We expect you to be able to run independent processes within projects with the oversight of a project manager.
  • We expect you to support our social media strategy by posting content on relevant social media channels.
  • We expect you to plan and carry out marketing activities.
  • We expect you to take a leading role in driving our communications efforts.
