Maria is a strategy consultant focused especially on helping SMEs transition to more sustainable practices. In her work with clients, she combines an analytical mindset and a hands-on approach while ensuring clear guidance along the way.
Maria has previous experience in sustainability consulting and before this, she held positions focused on communication and business development in various industries spanning from urban gardening and banking to fashion. This makes her skilled in understanding companies’ different needs and strategic challenges. At Nordic Sustainability, Maria is involved in projects helping SMEs prepare and adapt to the new regulatory reality of sustainability. This includes double materiality assessments and building impactful sustainability strategies, providing companies with a good roadmap to implementation.
Maria holds a BA degree in Communications from the Danish School of Media and Journalism and an MSc degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Management from Roskilde University. She likes to get nerdy when it comes to ensuring well-understood messaging, and her curious personality drives her to keep studying the continuous complexities of sustainable development – especially through podcasts.
