Creating short and long-term sustainability strategies with a Fortune 500 energy management company

Back to list

As part of its ambition to retain and further develop its leadership position in the sustainability space, Schneider Electric requested our expertise to conduct a broad-spectrum assessment of their current sustainability efforts and identify short and long-term improvement areas, based on the Future-Fit Business Benchmark.

The brief

Nordic Sustainability was tasked with assessing the client’s performance across all environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics and providing recommendations for improvements to its programs and metrics. The intention of undertaking this process was to inform the preparation of an upcoming materiality review and strategy update.

Our approach

The assessment consisted of an extensive review of the client’s existing documents and policies, along with a series of interviews with key stakeholders from different functions within the company. Deep dives were done into procurement and product impacts. The results were presented to and discussed with high-level management.

Results

A comprehensive list of improvement areas to help guide the long-term strategic sustainability work of Schneider Electric.

Nordic Sustainability were extremely thorough and professional in analysing our performance, providing recommendations that will be extremely helpful for us as we go into our next (sustainability) strategy process.
