As a Consultant, Laila is responsible for conducting double materiality and data gap assessment in accordance with the ESRS, as well as contributing to broader sustainability strategy projects. 

At Nordic Sustainability, Laila is actively involved in monitoring and developing our internal competencies around EU regulatory initiatives related to sustainability and business. In particular, she has been closely following the development of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Laila has been utilizing her expertise in this area to work closely with clients to help them understand and prepare for the potential impacts of these regulatory developments.

Prior to joining Nordic Sustainability, Laila worked at Ørsted’s Global sustainability department, where she was involved in promoting and developing the company’s sustainability strategy. While at Ørsted, Laila gained hands-on experience with supply chain decarbonisation, supplier engagement, sustainable strategy and program development, benchmark analyses, and more. Laila holds a master’s degree in economics from Copenhagen University, which was specifically tailored to address sustainability issues. By combining her academic and professional experience, she brings a multidimensional perspective to her work, uniquely positioning her to navigate the complexities of global organizations in pursuit of sustainable goals.
